The main bay break is a soft, sandy-bottom beach wave, sheltered enough by the bay's shape to stay small and manageable even when swell is up elsewhere on this stretch of coast. Around the rocky point on the north side of the bay (La Punta), the same swell wraps into a faster, more rippable right point wave — the intermediate and advanced step up, a five-minute walk from the beginner wave.
